Sharon Joy Holland, DVM
Founder- (Retired)
Dr. Holland graduated from the University of Illinois in 1986 and relocated to New Mexico to join an equine and small animal clinic. She started her own practice in 1990 and moved it to the Westside in 2002. As the owner, she is well-versed in all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a special interest in dentistry. Dr. Holland calls Corrales home and resides there with her husband Dave, her faithful canine companions Harry & Dolly as well as her 2 horses; Rosie and Joy.
Bonnie Gray, DVM
Medical Director
Dr. Bonnie Gray was raised in the North Valley of Albuquerque and graduated from Colorado State University Veterinary Medical School in 1988 after finishing an undergraduate Biology degree at New Mexico State University. She practiced in Idaho, Santa Fe, and Las Cruces before returning home to Albuquerque in 1994. After working as a vet for 19 years, she took a break from practicing and taught Biology, Health, and Environmental science for 3 years. She missed veterinary medicine and her furry clients, so was very happy to return to veterinary practice at Acequia Animal Hospital. She has a special interest in dermatology and internal medicine. She has recently become an “empty nester” with her daughters graduating from high school, entering college, and the “real world”. She has two rescue dogs from the Albuquerque Animal Shelter; Lola and Poppy, and 2 rescue cats; Poquito and Dennis the Menace. When she is not treating patients she is usually on the tennis court, doing yoga, reading, meditating, working out, hunting for bargains at thrift stores, or .. realistically…has fallen asleep on the couch watching Netflix.

Christine Fiorello DVM, PhD, Dipl. ACZM
Dr. Fiorello grew up in New York and graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts. She completed a small animal internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, and went on to earn a PhD in disease ecology from Columbia University, working with domestic and wild carnivores in Bolivia. She then completed a Wildlife & Zoological Medicine residency at the University of Florida, becoming board-certified in 2006. In addition to dogs and cats, she has worked with a great variety of wild and captive species in numerous settings, including veterinary colleges, oiled wildlife rescue, wildlife rehabilitation, fieldwork in Central and South America, and zoos. She has special interests in internal medicine and anesthesia. Dr. Fiorello is also certified ‘Fear Free’, which means she has been specially trained in tactics that can help reduce stressful trips to the vet, as well as help your pet live a happier, more stress free life at home! Besides veterinary medicine, her many passions include reading, river otters, dark chocolate (well, any chocolate, really!), and conservation. Tuppence, Calliope, and Penelope are three lovely cats who graciously allow Dr. Fiorello, her husband, and their son to live with them in their North Valley house.

Jamie Philpott, DVM
Dr. Philpott attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate studies. She attended veterinary school at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1986. Dr. Philpott prides herself on high-quality patient care and loves the special bond she shares with her patients and clients. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Philpott enjoys her family, dogs, cats, and horses.
Stephanie Babington, DVM
Dr. Stephanie Babington was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and attended both Central New Mexico Community College and the University of New Mexico before attending veterinary school in Pomona, California. She graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in 2023 and is very excited to be back home to serve her community. Her interests include preventative and geriatric medicine and integration of alternative medicine through acupuncture. In addition to treating dogs and cats, she has a special continued interest in exotic medicine, especially birds! In her free time, Dr. Stephanie can be found thrifting, hiking, enjoying yoga, spending time with loved ones, and exploring new local eateries.
