After working as a vet for 19 years, she took a break from practicing and taught Biology, Health, and Environmental science for 3 years. She missed veterinary medicine and her furry clients, so was very happy to return to veterinary practice at Acequia Animal Hospital. She has a special interest in dermatology and internal medicine. She has recently become an “empty nester” with her daughters graduating from high school, entering college, and the “real world”. She has two rescue dogs from the Albuquerque Animal Shelter; Lola and Poppy, and 2 rescue cats; Poquito and Dennis the Menace. When she is not treating patients she is usually on the tennis court, doing yoga, reading, meditating, working out, hunting for bargains at thrift stores, or .. realistically…has fallen asleep on the couch watching Netflix.
