Sharon Joy Holland, DVM
Dr. Holland graduated from the University of Illinois in 1986 and relocated to New Mexico to join an equine and small animal clinic. She started her own practice in 1990 and moved it to the Westside in 2002. As the owner, she is well-versed in all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a special interest in dentistry. Dr Holland calls Corrales home and resides there with her faithful canine companion Harry and her 3 horses; Jemez, Rosie, and Poppy.
Holene Erickson, DVM
Dr. Holene Erickson, Formerly Dr. Meuser, lives in the East Mountains with her new husband, Randy. After graduating from the University of Illinois, Dr. Erickson moved to New Mexico and began practicing small animal medicine.
She has special interests in Internal Medicine, Dentistry, Oncology, and Feline Medicine. Dr. Erickson also enjoys working with various rescue groups in New Mexico.
Her new family includes three dogs, two dwarf goats, a few chickens and her Percheron, Addy, who she rides Dressage. In her spare time she enjoys many activates with her new husband like motorcycle riding, bicycling, gardening and hiking.
Bonnie Gray-Dees, DVM
Dr. Bonnie Gray-Dees graduated from Colorado State University in 1988 and practiced in Idaho, Santa Fe, and Las Cruces before returning home to Albuquerque in 1994. After working as a vet for 19 years, she decided to tackle a new adventure and was accepted into CNM’s Alternative Teaching Licensure Program. While keeping her vet licenses current and doing veterinary relief work, she earned a N.M. K-12th grade teaching license and began teaching high school Biology and Health in 2009, and then Environmental Education at the elementary school level in 2011. She really missed veterinary medicine and furry clients, so is very happy to be here at Acequia Animal Hospital. She has a special interest in dermatology and internal medicine. She lives in Corrales with her family which includes a husband, 2 teenage daughters, plus 2 mixed breed doggies and 2 kitties. When she is not watching her daughters compete in gymnastics or volleyball, she enjoys Zumba dance, working out, sand volleyball, reading historic fiction, and vacations with family.

Abby has been working at Acequia Animal Hospital since May 2005. She attended Cibola High School graduating in 2005 and the University of New Mexico graduating in 2010 with a BS in Biology. Abby has had a variety of pets over the years but has a special affinity for shar-peis'. She currently has only 1 shar-pei Howard. She enjoys volunteering with local rescue groups in the area and takes in the occasional foster dog- of coarse a shar-pei ! She is also acting secretary of the local Kiwanis club of Corrales volunteering mostly with the Corrales Harvest Festival's Pet Parade and Pet Mayor events.
Trea, Technician Manager
Trea has been a vet tech since 1995 and previously enjoyed horse training. She and her husband Chad moved to Corrales from California in 2007 and love it here. They have 2 dogs, Harley and Jack and 1 cat, Tomas. Trea likes working at Acequia Animal Hospital and meeting all the valued clients and their pets.
Bethany, Veterinary Technician
Bethany has worked in the Veterinary field since 2001. She and her husband, Ryan, recently moved to the East Mountain area and really enjoy it there. They have a dog Max, a diabetic cat named CAT, and a few chickens. In their spare time Beth and Ryan enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.
Cassandra, Certified Veterinary Assistant
Cassandra has worked in the veterinary field since 2005. She shares a home with her two cats Chai and Leilani. Some of Cassandra's favorite things to do are reading and traveling.
April, Veterinary Technician
April started working for Acequia Animal Hospital in March of 2006, she moved to Texas for a couple years and we are happy to have her back as of 2016.
Janice, Front Desk Coordinator
Janice is a native of New York who came to us via Columbus, Ohio. She served as marketing specialist and client service coordinator for the startup of Ohio State's Veterinary and Specialty Center in Dublin, Ohio. Prior to that Janice worked in marketing and client services for a leading Veterinary Ophthalmology Company. Janice loves New Mexico and all of the outdoor opportunities it provides for recreation.
Darlene, Client Service Coordinator
Darlene is a native of New Mexico who has recently returned from Colorado with her husband Roman, and three year old sol Lucas. Darlene attended Colorado Community College and is a certified PIMA graduate of Veterinary Technology. Darlene is a welcomed addition to our practice. She combines her customer service skill with her veterinary expertise to assist clients in scheduling appointments, coordinate specialty care, answer client questions and address client concerns. Darlene is an accomplished baker and spends her free time filling orders for specialty sugar cookies to ship to people around the country. Darlene has a Chihuahua named Teaka and would like to rescue a large breed in the future
Adrienne has been with Acequia Animal Hospital since March of 2008. She loves spending time getting to visit with clients and their pets. Along with her husband, Israel, she also has a son named Davis, and daughter Elora. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge of animals while here at Acequia.
